Four notebooks tied together with three pieces of string, one through each of the notebook holes and two metal rings, one through the top hole and one through the bottom hole. The notebooks have brown covers, but the company is covered on each with an address label. Each address label has a description of the content of each notebook.
Top notebook: Early History 1620 to 1783, Book No-1, March 8-1950 and 1951.
Notebook two: Brothertown N.Y. 1783 to 1800, Book No.-2, March 15-1950.
Notebook three: John Dean-1798, 1839, Book No-3, March 16 to.
Notebook four: Brothertown Settlement 1832-Stockbridge, 33 degrees below-1-30-51-Sam's-42 degrees, Book No.-4, March 23-50.
Each notebook is filled with writing. They are partially notes, but also a narrative of each topic listed on notebook cover. Unsure if there are quotes taken from other books, or possibly the start of a book Otto Heller was writing. There are two pages added to the first notebook behind the front cover. The first reads "Ee-yam-quit-too-wau-con-nuck. Otto-E-Heller 1951". The second is a quote from Samson Occum's diary, Monday, November 7, 1785 talking about the formation of Brotherton. On the back of this second page is a poem titled "Pioneers".Collection
