Scope and Content

Single sheet of lined notebook paper folded in half vertically. Hand written notes are just on the left column of the first side but go all the way across the top for the four lines on the back side. The writing is in a black ink. The first page starts "John W. Quinney at Reidsville N.Y., July 4, 1854". It talks about the Mohegans or Muh-he-con-new Nation. This reads like notes from someone else's talk or writing. The back reads "In these school houses the affairs of the town was conducted. There the Peace Makers held their Court, the Town elections held, the Elder Thomas conducted the services of Babptist [sic] church".
