Single page correspondence on Department of the Interior, Pension Office letterhead. IT is addressed to Hannah Commuck, Brothertown, Wis. on Aug. 17,1883. In the top corner, written in a red/pink ink, it states it's from the Western Division, Cooke, Ex'r, Mother, No. 290008, Worthington Commuck, Co. E 21, Reg't Wis Inf. The letter informs her that when she gets remarried but does not file an application for pension prior to July 1, 1880, there is no period for which pension can be paid. It is signed by the Acting Commissioner.Collection
