Four identical black and white photographs of two men standing behind two headstones. The headstone on the left belongs to "Thomas D. Dick. Died Nov. 3, 1867, Aged 28 yrs 7 mo's & 27 days." The man standing behind this headstone is wearing a light colored shirt under dark overalls and a hat. His right arm is bent and resting on his upper side and his left arm is bent in front of his chest. The right headstone belongs to "Hannah Dick, died Aug 6, 1833, Aged 88 yrs & 7 mos." The man standing behind this headstone is wearing a dark button up, long-sleeved jacket, dark pants, and a hat. Both of his hands are on his hips. There is a rock wall behind them.
Written in black ink on the back of BC2010.022.056A "Arthur Potter beside the grave of Hannah Dick, once Potter, mother of the first settlers, -- and Elhanah? Dick, Oct 2, 1934" and in the bottom right corner "O.E. Heller, Oct. 2, 1934".
Nothing is written on the back of BC2010.022.056B or BC2010.022.056C, but BC2010.022.056B is discolored more than the other two and has a large white spot where the ink has torn off on the front near the left edge. There are also small spots around it.
BC2010.022.056C has a white spot just above Arthur Potter's head and a brown spot on Hannah Dick's headstone near her first name.Collection
