Four pages of correspondence on four separate pieces of paper with writing only on one side of each page. The first page (BC2010.022.625A) is addressed "National Home, Co 6, Jan 22 1907, Kind Friends" and talks about the writers cold, the cold weather, how it's fish day for dinner. Page two (BC2010.022.625B) has the number 2 in the center along the top edge. It talks about how many have died, but not sure from what, and how those who go into the hospital rarely make it out and they are full. It also talks about receiving pension recently and how many are buying alcohol with it. Page three (BC2010.022.625C) has the number 3 in the center along the top edge. It talks about hearing from others like Jim who is in the printing office but is leaving as soon as he gets paid and letters from Johnson and an attorney. It is signed on this third page "Rsplty Yours, Oscar, Address as before". Page four (BC2010.022.625D) has the number 4 in the center along the top edge. It also has 2.30 just below the 4 and talks about a pension bill that is before the house and "most shurely" will pass before they adjourn giving people over 63 years of age twelve dollars. It also mentions a Walt Doxtator in Oshkosh.
BC2010.022.625E is the envelope that is addressed to "Mrs. Agnes L. Fowler, Chilton, Wis" and at the top has "From Osk". "R#2" is also written on the envelope but might be someone else's penmanship.Collection
