Single sheet of typed correspondence. Addressed "Detroit June 5th 1835, Dear Sir" and is introducing Charles A. Grignon as a potential costumer who needs help transporting the good he is purchasing. The letter is signed J.R. Dawke, but the last name has been crossed out in pencil and "Dorr & Co" is written next to it. At the bottom, typed, is Mr. R. Putnam, Agent of the Troy and Erie line, 22 South Street, N.Y. Letter has slight staining, especially at the bottom in the corner and along the edges. The paper is thin.
