Four pages of correspondence on a single sheet of folded, lined paper. The letter is addressed "Colby, June 24th, 1900, Dear Sister" and is signed on the fourth page (opposite the first page) "so good day with to le, PJ Johnson". The letter talks about the flowers in their garden, Lydia went to Minnesota four weeks ago, but does not like it out there, the weather is dry and the writer doesn't think berries will come in because of it, and finally a fire in a nearby lumber yards.
BC2010.022.619B is the envelope that is addressed to "Mrs Agnes L. Fowler, Brothertown, Calumet Co., Wis". On the back in pencil and a different penmanship is "Lammets lumer yard burned" but I think it should read Samuels lumber yard.Collection
