Scope and Content

Single sheet of paper folded in half to create four pages of correspondence. First page addressed " Nashvill Tennessee, May the 22 AD 1863, Mr. Edgar Dick, Dear Sir" and signed "tell me all the news pleas Direct Nashvill Tennessee Hospital No 2. Give love to my folks, from your friend EN Schooner in friendship". The contents talk about his transfer to the hospital, fighting the war, getting food from the farms they come across. The letter was folded in thirds as well. BC2010.022.471B is a dark yellow envelope. The stamp has been torn off and it was opened along the right edge. It reads "Mr. Edger Dick, Brothertown Post, Calumet Co, State of Wisconsin".
