Oversized official document-promotion to Major in the 29th regiment of the militia of the state of Wisconsin (Calumet County). There is a large picture for the letterhead that has two men standing on either side of the seal Wisconsin (as seen on the state flag) with "Forward" at the top. In large letters around this seal is "Alexander W. Randall, Governor of the State of Wisconsin". The letter is signed by him and the secretary of the state on the 12th of February 1858. There is a large green sticker on the left side near the bottom that also has the state seal as a raised stamp.Collection
