Single page correspondence on letter head paper. Letter head reads "In all Communications with the Grand Lodge Officers, be Particular to give the Number and Post-Office Address of our Lodge. Office of Grand Worthy Chief Templar, Sun Prairie, Wis., Mar 25th 1870." There is also a seal of the lodge: circle in shape with an eye at the top, "O.O. of G.T." beneath the eye, a book with "FAITH" above it, an anchor with "HOPE" above it, and what looks like a chalice over-flowering with "CHARITY" below it. Around the circle is "Grand lodge of Wisconsin, Inst. May 13, 1856". The letter is written to "E.M. Dick, Worthy Brother" and is signed "Fraternally yours, Phi. D. Aaunse" (unsure of name, difficult to read). Difficult to read, but is about dancing on meeting nights and how that is forbidden. Lots of words underlined, seems to be a letter of grievance.Collection
