Four pages of correspondence on a single sheet of folded, lined paper. The letter is addressed "Colby, Oct 16th 1892, Dear sister" and is signed on the fourth page (opposite first page) PJ Johnson. In the bottom left corner on the fourth page are the initials H S F, assuming it is written to Hattie S. Fowler. But the envelope is addressed to Agnes L. Fowler. It talks about not writing sooner, multiple deaths that happened in the area due to sickness, and the writers poor health.
BC2010.022.607B is the envelope it came in and it is addressed to "Mrs Agnes L. Fowler, Brothertown, Calumet Co, Wis." There is a 2 cent stamp in the top right corner and in the top left corner written in a different hand and ink is "Jane & children came".Collection
