Single sheet of hand written speech in pencil. The speech is about a page and a half long and starts "The majority of you, if not all have at some time made the drive from F.D.L to Neenah along the East short of Lake Winnebago." It talks about the landscape along this area 125 years ago which was mostly dense forest. There was a trail from Chicago to Green Bay along this route. On the back it reads "He wrote that the forest was so dense that they were compelled to cut the brush from the trail in order to get their horse through..." which makes it seem like the first page was either notes from something else or written copy of that other work.Collection
