Single sheet of paper with correspondence written on both sides. The paper has letterhead that reads "A. Sprague & Co., Blacksmiths., Horseshoeing, Wagon Ironing, Repairing of all kinds of farm implements and machinery". Brothertown, Wis. was crossed out and "Saukcenter" was written over it next to the date "Mon. Sept. 4th 1881". It is written to "Friend Dick" and is written in a blue ink. Three lines from the bottom of the second page, the writer drew an eye with an eyebrow above it. It is signed "hopin gto hear from you soon, Alx Sprague".Collection
