Single page, typed correspondence addressed "Grand Kaukalin April 15th 1846, John A. Eastman Esq, Dear Sir" and talks about suing a Mr. Featherstonhaugh but saving costs of the lawsuit if he "will give you a warrant of attorney to confess judgement" [sic]. It ends by saying the recipient of the letter should look into getting some property. It is signed "I am respectfully, Yours & c., Chas. A. Grignon". There are two identical copies of this letter.
