Skenandore, Patricia "Pat" Lynn (Danforth) Born 03/18/1947 Parents: Peter and Sabie Irene (King) Danforth Maternal grandparents: Stadler and Samantha King Paternal grandparents: Peter and Jane Danforth She didn’t know if her dad went to school. But her mother graduated from school but she doesn’t know what school she graduated from. When she started going to school she went to the Oneida State Graded. Then she went to Seymour Jr. High School. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1965. On Thanksgiving all her relatives would come over for a Thanksgiving dinner. And on Christmas they always had Christmas tree they had one gift each. They went to the Episcopal Church for midnight mass on Christmas Eve. She doesn’t remember Easter to much. Her mother made corn soup. They lived on a small farm with a horse, cow, pig, chickens and ducks, they always had a garden. Her mother did a lot of canning and she use to bake bread all the time. Her mother use to clean house for a College Professor at St. Lawrence College. And she use help with the 4-H club. Her father was a construction worker, and after work he would go out and work the farm and all the kids would help him. She uses to work at the Oneida Post Office. Then at the Green Bay Post Office. Her dad use to play baseball every summer. They didn’t have electricity or running water. Her dad use to have 2 cars and an old tractor. They use to go hoyoning on New Years Day. Her parents spoke the Oneida Language. She got married to Harvey Skenandore at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 1965; they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. She was working ever since she got married at the Internal Revenue Service. Her advice to the youth is to stay in school and get a good education and stay away from drugs and alcohol.Recording Type
