Scope and Content

Legal sized sheet of paper with correspondence on both sides written in a pink/purple ink. The letter is addressed "Ind Cap lt, Augt 19th A.D. 1864, Distant Friend: E.M. Dick. Esqr:" and there is a bracket along the right side of the address. The last line of the first page reads "What do you think of that" in larger writing than the rest and it is just below a series of 9's (30 of them) followed by a circle because he is talking about how hot it is where he is. The back page (page 2) is larger writing than the first page and it is teasing the recipient about marrying 2 or 3 dozen girls in the south. It is signed "I subscribe myself as ever yours truely [sic] G.A. Durochie, Esqr: To his Old Friend, E.M. Dick Esqr:"
