Black and white photograph of Robert Bennett presenting a tomahawk and peace pipe to a Boy Scout and an elderly woman. The back reads "Commissioner of Indian Affairs, Robert L. Bennett, presents a tomahawk and peace pipe to the widow of Holger Christian Langmack, founder of Boy Scouting in Denmark, as a memento for Danish Troop #1. With them is Holger III, grandson of the founder, and a Cub Scout. Bennett said: "The creed of scouting is universal, and much of it is drawn from the traditions, lore, and ideals of the American Indians. In the name of the American Boy Scouts, I salute the Scouts of Denmark." Mrs. Langmack, for many years a resident of the Washington, D.C. area, will give the gifts to Troup #1 of Skaarup, Fyn, Denmark, when she visits her homeland this month. (May , 1966).
