Single page, typed correspondence addressed "Grand Kaukalan, Nov. 25th, 1844, M.L. Martin Esqr., Dear Sir". It talks about the writers plan to go to Washington to petition the removal of Col. Jones from the Indian Agency in Green Bay because the Whigs will be "walking out of office after the fourth of March next". The writer is Charles A. Grignon who wishes to then take the post in place of Col. Jones and hopes his democratic friends will support him. It is asking M.L. Martin for support as well. It is signed "Respectfully you most & C, Chas. A. Grignon".
