Commemorative gold rimmed plate printed with "Oradell. Mr. & Mrs. D.Z. Westervelt, Febr. 22. 1908, House Warming." Decorated with pink and blue flowers.
Context
D. Z. Westervelt was Oradell's Ice and Coal man, Volunteer Fireman, Borough Marshall and later owner of the Hotel Delford. He moved into 257 Maple Ave in December 1907 so this plate almost certainly dates to that move as the house warming was February 22, 1908.
