Description

Booster Special on the San Diego & Arizona Eastern Railway/Tijuana y Tecate Railway in Baja Mexico east of Agua Caliente. Two steam locomotives Southern Pacific #2354 and San Diego & Arizona Eastern #102. Eastbound train. Steam locomotive #102. Builder Alco Schenectady, serial number 54665, built December 1914, class C-31, wheels 2-8-0, weight 224500 lbs., weight on drivers 197900 lbs., boiler preasure 210 lbs., drivers 57", Cylinder bore and stroke 22" x 30", Tractive effort 45470 lbs. Leased to Southern Pacific and renumbered 2838 in 1918. Returned to SD&A and renumbered 102 in 1919. Scrapped August 14, 1953.
