Description

SD&A steam locomotive #2 and #3 on the right. The tanks in the background were used to store oil for the city. Steam locomotive second #2, built by Schenectady, August 1903. Serial number 4138, class "S-1", 0-6-0, weight 91875 lbs., weight on drivers ? lbs., boiler pressure 130 lbs., driver diameter 51 inches, Cylinder bore and stroke 18" x 24", tractive effort 16850 lbs. Built as Southern Pacific #1036. Sold to San Diego and Arizona second #2 November 23, 1920. Scrapped in Los Angeles August 1940.
