Remnants of Hurricane Flags. ----- rice etc. caught on iron work. Water covered this shore on Sunday morning, August 1942. Arrows below are where seawall is built. Weather Bureau Tower Flags are hoisted as storm signals. Many different kinds of flags for various types of storms or winds. If they hoisted one every time it rained would have one up most of time.
