These pottery chards were found about 5 miles away from the museum on the beach.
They are made of iron-rich clay mixed with bone, chips of shell and sand that give the clay body to form very thin walled pottery. Artistic decorations is visible as well as asphaltum used to waterproof the pots. Rockport pottery was a style of pottery that the Karankawas developed.Collection
