William Wirt Henry (1831–1900) was the son of John (1796–1868) and Elvira McClelland Henry (1808–1875) and the grandson of Patrick Henry. He was a lawyer in Richmond. In 1891, he published a three-volume biography of Patrick Henry, "Patrick Henry: Life, Correspondence and Speeches." He resigned for a time at Villeview in Charlotte Court House, Virginia and at Red Hill, which he used as a summer home. The original photo is in the Court House at Charlotte Court House, Virginia. William A. F. Bradley photographed Henry in his New York studio around 1895. Bradley was one of the most successful studio photographers in the world at this time, photographing the likenesses of Mark Twain and Woodrow Wilson. Photocopy was done by Henry and Tricia Mitchell, Photographers of Chatham, Virginia.
