It has stone steps that lead up to double front doors, the right one is slightly ajar. On either side is a single, large window with shutters. The house sits on a stone foundation. Towards the middle right of the house is a chimney. The right side of the house has stone steps. To the right of the house is a white-gray lamppost. Behind the house are several hedges and bare trees. Along the path on the left side are fig trees. A person in a gray, white, and black outfit stands in front of the house on the left. The background is a blue sky with wispy clouds seen closer to the horizon. To the left and in front of the photographer is a gray lamppost.

This photograph is one of a set of images depicting the Red Hill property during its principal restoration by the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation in 1961. This photograph was found in the James S. Easley Papers. Mr. Easley helped to establish the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation and served as its first president from 1944 to his death in 1965.
