The PHMF Golden Anniversary Celebration was held on Thursday, October 27, 1994 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Foundation's establishment. The PHMF was incorporated on October 27, 1944. The event was held at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia.
Patrick Daily authored "Patrick Henry: The Last Years, 1789-1799," published by the PHMF and sold in the Red Hill Visitor Center gift shop. Daily served as the museum director (Executive Vice President) of Red Hill from 1977-1988. It was during his tenure as director, in 1986, that Congress designated Red Hill as the National Memorial to Patrick Henry. He was also a founder and acting administrator of the Descendants Branch of the PHMF. He has also given numerous lectures and presentations about Patrick Henry's life.
Staff found this photograph in the existing files of Red Hill's collection and accessioned it on May 30, 2024, due to its importance to PHMF's institutional history.
