After the USS Laffey (DD-724) survived bomb and kamikaze strikes off Okinawa on April 16, 1945, the ship sailed to Seattle, Washington for repairs. Once the stay in dry dock was complete, she returned to Pearl Harbor, where the Laffey was used to promote the war effort.Collection
