Albert Csiszar and Bob Jones were both crewman of the USS Laffey who were sent stateside just ten days before the Laffey was attacked by waves of kamikaze planes off the coast of Okinawa. After hearing about the courageous defense put up by the crew, both men sent a telegram letting the Laffey know that they were ready to return to the ship as soon as possible.Collection
