Program for the First Reunion of the Unsinkable USS Laffey (DD-724) held from April 15-17, 1966, in Norfolk, Virginia. The program includes famous quote of Cmdr. Becton, a schedule of events, an excerpt of Frank Manson's article "Seventy-nine Minutes on the Picket Line", the Laffey's Presidential Unit Citation, ship history, and a composite sketch of the April 16, 1945, air attack on the USS Laffey.

Context

Frank Manson was a Communications Officer aboard the USS Laffey from 1944-1945 and was the press liaison for Cmdr. Becton during the ship's Shipyard Worker Retention Tour.
