The Boeing Stearman Model 75 or "Stearman" was first introduced in 1934. The Stearman served as the main training plane across all services during World War II, but the N2S variant was particular to the US Navy. Pilots nicknamed the N2S Stearman the "Yellow Terror" for its bright color scheme.
The Stearman arrived at Patriots Point in 1987 and is on loan from the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.Collection
