Context

This change of command took place on January 12, 1966 in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Captain James Cain was relieved of his post, and Captain William McCully Jr. took over as the USS Yorktown's captain. James B. Cain was a World War II Navy Ace who served as the twenty-first captain of the USS Yorktown (CVS-10) from June 11, 1965 to May 7, 1966.
