A brown leather winter flight suit with a fur collar and internal electric heating elements. The suit has a single pull-tab zipper from collar to crotch and separate pull-tab zippers down each leg. The flight suit is belted around the waist, has a pocket on the right breast, and a pocket on each knee.

Used to keep pilots warm at high altitudes and cold temperatures.

Context

The challenges of the new realm of aerial warfare spawned innovations to conquer problems, such as using electrical elements to warm pilots.
