Accompanying materials, which have been placed in the research collection, indicate that Brown owned the Harpswell House in Topsham, was involved in the Topsham Economic Development Committee, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and St. Paul's Church vestry and lived at 47 Winter St, in Topsham. There is also a note that Brown was an "Industrial designer working in ceramics, plans to go into architectural and industrial work. Produces decorative tiles, made from slate mined at Monson."Collection
