Capt. and Mrs. Wm. Harding went to Boston in antique garb to extend a personal invitation to Mass. Gov. Leverett Saltonstall to attend the celebration. Their appearance in Boston drew much attention to the Celebration and to Brunswick - The trip was regarded in Boston as a highly successful publicity stunt.
