A B/W photographic view of the Nathaniel Haskell's old farm house on Haskell's Island.
It was close to Route 123, Potts Point.
Owners at time of research: Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Bailey. Condition: excellent
Francis Haskell, grandson of Nathaniel Haskell, was born in NYC April 12, 1821. He married Lucretia Ann Pinkham July 9, 1848' They had two surviving children - Lydia Ann who married Elisha Clark of Yarmouth, and Willie Pinkham Haskell, who inherited the house and land running to the water on the south east and south. This land had been his mother's dowry (Pinkham).
Willie married Minnie Campbell who was born in Scotland. They had no children. House was sold to the Boyd's of Kentucky.
The house was designed and built by Willard Bailey of Freeport, as were several houses in South Harpswell, eg. Miriam Stover's 's (Thomas residence, Stover's Point and Nellie Pinkham Milliken's home in South Harpswell.Collection
