P. J. Meserve House, 5 Pleasant St, was torn down to make way for a parking lot for First National Stores supermarket (see 2010.3.170, newspaper photo published 3/25/1969). Subsequently the First National Store building was occupied by Maine Hardware Store and then Stowe Travel (as of 1982).
