A B/W photograph of George H. Stover. George Hinkley Stover was born in Brunswick 13 April 1903, the son of Lemuel H. and Mary Ann Stover. He received his A.B. from Bowdoin College in 1903, graduating magna cum laude and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. He received his L.L.B. from Harvard in 1906 and practiced law in New York City from 1910 to 1917. He was Assistant Counsel to the NY State Public Service Commission from 1917 to 1929 and Chief Counsellor for the NY State Transit Commission, 1929 to 1943. He and his wife Edna Nichols Stover had two daughters, Mary Stover Curtiss and Allen Stover Horn. He died 23 May 1946. Photo not dated.
