A colorized photograph (in a mat and gold-painted frame) of "The Original Dennison Plant at Brunswick, Maine." The name "Sawyer" is signed on the mat. This is Charles Henry Sawyer, famous for his colorized photographs of New England. (See Notes for further biographical information.) The Dennison Company's first building, pictured in this photograph, was on Everett Street. They relocated two times in Brunswick. Dennison manufactured the first jewelry boxes in the United States and many other paper goods. The company was eventually purchased by the Avery Company and became Avery-Dennison, and still exists today as Avery. Undated
