The winners of a 2 day sailing competition for the Gannett Trophy. The competition was held at the Orr's Bailey Yatch Club on July 22, 1956. Left to right the winners are: Hank Parker of Harrasseeket, small open; Gardner Brown of Harrasseeket, lightning; Charles Emerson of the Portland Yatch Club, turnabouts. He also accepted the Gannett Trophy for his club. The last two winners are Bill Poole of Portland Yatch Club, large open; and Walter Wigner of Harrasseeket, medium open.Lexicon
