Description

A B/W photograph of a plane that crashed in the alders by the air strip in Topsham. Story as told by Percy Hyde is on the back of the photo. "Champ" -- Brunswick Flying Service above the black bridge past Topsham Heights was where the flying strip was, beside the river. Plane appears to be a "Champ." Donald Wade and another fellow were flying a brand new plane and on landing each thought the other was flying it on landing, so they went into the alders beside the air strip. Undated
