A B/W photograph of the Androscoggin River in flood stage, showing Cabot Mill & blacksmith shop, w/head gates of paper mill on the right. The bridge, connecting the electric light station with the shore is washed out. This is the flood of March 1896. Photo taken from Topsham, ME. The bottom of the front reads, in pen, "Brunswick, Maine, March 3, 1896- Freshet - From Topsham, Head gates of Paper Mill on the right."
