Description

The original Auburn Colony Association in South Harpswell was built in 1896 by Auburn and Lewiston businessmen. It was destroyed by fire November 5, 1899. From left are the 22 cottages of the colony, dining room and stables, the John Pinkham house, the No. 18 schoolhouse, the George Riley Johnson house, the Harmon Stoner House, the Mansion House hotel, the barn and ell of the Pinkham house. Just beyond the Mansion House is visible a small piece of the Dr. Daley House and just above it the small Alyah Stover house.
