A color picture postcard of an aerial view of Bailey Island with Jaquish Island in the foreground. Land's End is pictured in the middle of the image, at the end of the major Bailey Island road. Pictured on Bailey Island on the left side of the image is the Bailey Island Military Reservation, aka battery, which was part of the Harbor Defense of Portland. It was used during World War II, from 1942 to 1946, and then abandoned (according to Fortwiki.com). The tall observation tower was also used for fire control. Undated
