Description

A colorized postcard of the Whitmore House at 63 Federal Street in Brunswick, Maine, was created about 1905. The structure was originally known as Titcomb House. It later became known as the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, because she and her family rented it between 1850 and 1852. Stowe lived there when she wrote her novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin."
