Mounted black and white photograph of people clustered on the shore at Mere Point, in front of what became known as Wells' Cottage. Written on the back in pencil reads "Tub race Alg raced." Alg is Algernon Chandler. The cottage belonged to Charlotte Chandler Wells and was passed on to Richard D. Wells.
