Photo of the Catholic Rectory at 37 Pleasant Street, next to St John the Baptist church. This building was designed by Samuel B. Dunning in 1888-1889. See John V. Goff, "Samuel B. Dunning: Brunswick's First Architect", PHS, 1984, pp. 18-19. The rectory was built in 1888. After the fire of 1912 destroyed St. John;s Church and school, the rectory was moved to the corner of Pleasant and Umion Streets, where the church had stood previously, and opened as a convent
