Description

A sepia toned photograph of a parade for the 150th anniversary of Brunswick, on Park Row (the Skolfield-Whittier House can be seen in the background). The photo shows a wagon float drawn by four white horses. Riding on the float are several dozen people. Behind the float is a group of people marching in the parade. At the bottom is printed, "Photographed by J.C. Higgins & Son, Bath, Maine". Dated June 13, 1889. From the Brunswick Telegraph: The schools did themselves great credit on the numbers which they turned out, and the neat and tasteful dresses on which they were clad, especially those in the arriage representing the 42 states.
