Contestant #1 Bernadette Menard is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs.Paul Menard of 8 Dunning Street, Brunswick. She was born June 18, 1959 in Brunswick. Berna is a sophomore at BHS where she maintains a B average. Her favorite subject in school are Algebra and French. When asked why she joined the pageant she replied mainely for fun. But now I find just standing infront of all of you is something I thought as a child I'd never be able to do. It will be a big help to me later in life to be able to speak to people of all walks of life and not be afraid.
