Black and white photograph of a storefront sign, with the largest piece of the sign for Cottle's Discount Foods. Below are smaller signs for three businesses: First National Bank, State Liquor Store, and Brunswick Hardware. There is a large white house in the middle ground of the photo with a street running between the house and the store sign. The ground is fully covered in snow (other than the street, which has been plowed). Power lines run along the street, and there is one car parked on the street on the left-hand side.
