Notes

Craft time is a quintessential part of early childhood education, engaging children's sense of touch, sight, and sound while helping to develop motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to focus. Arts and crafts also encourage children to explore self-expression and creativity, ultimately leading to an increased sense of self and confidence. Pictured here is instructor Margie Miller of the Learning Land Nursery School in Brunswick, ME, with students who are sitting at the table, surrounded by an array of colored markers, paper, stickers, and other materials needed to make craft time engaging for all.
